The Luhanka prehistoric rock paintings are located on the west shore of Avosaari Island, on the right side of the steep cliffs. The grey cleavage surface has residue of three left-facing “elks”. In the best-preserved painting the lines dividing the animal’s body can be distinguished. The images are painted on a dark rock surface and are best visible in bright weather.
