Alusvasara is a group of five young ladies who perform traditional Finnish and Swedish folk music, adapted to their own distinctive style while honouring old traditions. They also have a constantly expanding repertoire of tremendous, original Alusvasara music.

The band’s selection of instruments includes violins, viola, recorder and harmonium. On stage you may also see more exotic instruments, such as wooden spoons and a wash board.
